The first Veritas Village to open, and the only one built inside an existing resort. It is a beachfront neighbourhood inside Gran Pacifica on Nicaragua’s Pacific coast, between one and one and a half hours from Managua, sharing the resort’s nine-hole golf course, stables, beachfront pools and surf break.

The village

Veritas Village – Playa Pacifica is a neighbourhood inside Gran Pacifica, a gated beach and golf resort on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. It opened in 2023 as the first of the villages, and it is the only one built into an existing resort rather than laid out on land developed from scratch. The village itself is arranged around a clubhouse and restaurant set back from the shore, with a beachfront pool below it and a community orchard and a bird-watching spot at the inland end, and because it opened first it is where the network’s ideas about off-grid services and shared amenities have had the longest to be tested in practice.

Getting there

The resort lies on the Pacific coast west of Managua, between one hour and ninety minutes by road from the capital and its international airport, at the end of a private road through the resort gates.

Homes and amenities

That arrangement gives residents a set of amenities a young community could not have built on its own. The resort brings a nine-hole golf course, grass tennis, disc golf, stables and horseback riding on the sand, yoga palapas, several restaurants and a long stretch of coast with a surf break. A sea turtle sanctuary operates on the beach, a cause the village’s founder has supported through his own foundation for more than a decade.

The master plan mixes detached homes on their own plots, a row of houses along the beach, a crescent of deluxe condos and two blocks it labels luxury villas, in a Spanish idiom of white walls and red tile roofs. It is a small community by design, with some forty homesites and a future condominium building.
