Ricardo is a Honduran lawyer with over 8 years of experience in business development, legal consulting, and operations management. He holds a Master of Law (LLM) in Corporate Law from Penn State Law. Ricardo currently, serves as a Corporate Legal Consultant at Honduras Próspera Inc, overseeing legal compliance, incorporations, and business development. Prior to Penn State, he led operations at a law firm focused on tech startups and was a mentor in incubation programs like Honduras Digital Challenge. Additionally, he worked at the Eleutera Foundation in research and promotion of economic freedom in Honduras and held student leadership roles at the University of San Pedro Sula, including President of the Law Students Association.
His work at Próspera is the everyday machinery of a jurisdiction with its own company law: incorporations, compliance, and the questions that arise when a business registered under a zone framework has to deal with counterparties and banks outside it.
Before that he worked at the Eleutera Foundation, the Honduran think tank that has argued for economic freedom in the country for years and did much of the groundwork of persuasion that made the ZEDE framework politically possible at all.
