Robert Aro is a chartered professional accountant (CPA, CA) from Toronto who writes for the Mises Power and Market blog on issues surrounding the Federal Reserve and central banking. He is currently enrolled in the Mises Institute’s graduate school, working toward his master of arts in Austrian economics. His writing at Power and Market takes one Federal Reserve action at a time, a facility, a balance-sheet line, a speech, and works out what it means in plain terms, which is a different exercise from commentary on interest rates and closer to the accountancy he trained in.
That is also the connection to this movement. Central banking is the one part of an economy nobody can opt out of by moving house, so the case for competing currencies and competing jurisdictions depends on making its mechanics visible first.
