Apply to speak in Prague

Every year we hear from far more people who want to speak than we have slots for, so we ask everyone to fill in the same form. It tells us what you would like to talk about, who you are, and how a speaking slot could work as a partnership between us.

This form is for people with an idea they want to put in front of the Free Cities community. If you represent a company and want to present a product, a service or a Free Cities project, a speaking slot normally comes with a sponsorship package instead. Write to us and we will send you the options: info@free-cities.org

Free Cities Conference 2027, October 28–31, 2027, Prague, Czech Republic.

Your details

A few sentences about your background, your current work and your relevant expertise. If we select you, this is what goes in the programme.

Your proposal

Session format *

Pick the format that suits what you have in mind.

Concise and descriptive. This is what attendees see in the programme.

0 / 56 characters recommended

What you plan to cover, the key argument or takeaway, and why it matters to a Free Cities audience. Around 150 to 300 words.

Optional, and helpful: a video, a slide deck or an article that shows how you present.

Supporting the event

Costs *

The Free Cities Conference is independently organized and runs on sponsorship and on what speakers can carry themselves. Speakers who cover their own costs are the reason we can keep the production standards up and the ticket prices down. Tell us what would work for you.

We see a speaking slot as a partnership, and it works best when it carries value both ways. If we select you, how could you help publicize the conference: social media, a newsletter, something else? Tell us briefly what you would do and the networks you could draw on.

The other half of the same question. What would you need from us to make your participation work: a particular setup, promotional support, introductions to other speakers, something else?

Anything else

How did you hear about the conference?

Not sure your idea fits?

Applications stay open while we build the programme. If you would rather talk it through first, or you are here on behalf of a company, write to us and we will point you the right way.
