Thomas Walker-Werth is associate editor at The Objective Standard and a fellow of both the Objective Standard Institute and the Foundation for Economic Education. He writes and speaks on Objectivist philosophy and individual flourishing.
His essays have appeared in The Objective Standard, Capitalism Magazine, RealClear Policy and the Foundation for Economic Education’s publications, and he has spoken at the Battle of Ideas festival in London and on podcasts across the liberty movement.
His book, Reason for Living: A Rational, Fact-Based Approach to Living Your Best Life, applies Ayn Rand’s ethics to the ordinary business of deciding what to do with a life: identifying values instead of inheriting them, setting goals that follow from those values, and treating happiness as an achievement rather than a mood. He argues that most of the self-help industry sells the opposite, techniques without any standard of what is worth wanting, and he continues the argument in a project and newsletter of the same name.
