Nicole Reese

Nicole Reese is co-founder and COO of Regen Tribe, a startup accelerating regenerative-community land projects. Trained as an anthropologist, she founded the educational initiative Terrenity and has lived in and studied ecovillages in Costa Rica and Mexico.

She is a certified ecovillage designer through the Global Ecovillage Network and started Terrenity in 2021 to give people trying to join or start such a settlement the practical knowledge the field lacked: how to assess a piece of land, how to structure ownership, and how to hold a group of people together long enough to finish anything. Terrenity became an official collaborator of the network and has since turned into a non-profit supporting emerging ecovillages in Guyana and Uganda, while its venture side merged into Regen Tribe.

At Regen Tribe she runs operations for an accelerator whose product is other people’s communities: the templates, the education and the design work that a group of would-be neighbours cannot easily produce on their own.

She came to the work from graphic design, marketing and event production, including for TEDx.
