Jordi Llonch is a digital nomad, entrepreneur, and advocate for digital sovereignty. He is a co-organiser of Barcelona Bitcoin Only, Spain’s most active Bitcoin meetup, and the global organiser of Nostr Day events, which have introduced hundreds of people to decentralised communication. Jordi leads growth at Satlantis, a social network for sovereign individuals built using Nostr, and travels the world tapping into grassroots communities to learn how people are using freedom tech like Bitcoin and Nostr to reclaim their digital lives. A former airline pilot, he now dedicates his work to promoting tools that enable self-sovereign communication and financial independence.
Satlantis ties people, places and events together on Nostr, an open protocol where an account is a key rather than an entry in a company’s database, so a user who falls out with a service can take their identity and their following elsewhere.
He organises the Barcelona meetup and the international Nostr Day events, and came to this after a career flying commercial aircraft, which is a longer way round than most.
