Stephan Livera

Stephan Livera hosts one of Bitcoin’s leading podcasts, the Stephan Livera Podcast, focused on the economics and technology of Bitcoin. He contributes to outlets including Swan Bitcoin, Bitcoin Magazine and the Mises Institute, and speaks at Bitcoin and liberty conferences internationally.

Previously a chartered accountant, he worked at Deloitte, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Macquarie Group. He grew up in Sydney and studied commerce at the University of New South Wales.

The podcast has run since 2018 and is among the most listened to in the field, built on long technical interviews with developers, economists and operators rather than on price commentary. He also co-founded Ministry of Nodes, which teaches people to run their own node and hold their own keys.

He is head of education at Swan Bitcoin, managing director of its international arm and a partner at Bitcoiner Ventures. He lives in Dubai, where he is a Free Cities Ambassador and a regular presence at the region’s Bitcoin conferences.
