Prince Philip of Serbia and Yugoslavia

Prince Philip of Serbia and Yugoslavia

Prince Philip of Serbia and Yugoslavia is a member of the Karađorđević royal family and a prominent advocate for Bitcoin and free-market ideas.

He spent some thirteen years in traditional finance before joining JAN3, a Bitcoin technology company, as Chief Strategy Officer. There he works on adoption by companies and states, dealing with the governments and institutions that are weighing what it would mean to hold a monetary asset nobody can issue more of.

His public argument is that Bitcoin restores a form of property no government can dilute, and that a currency which cannot be debased encourages the long horizons on which families, firms and countries actually build. He connects this to the low time preference he associates with hereditary institutions, a theme he has developed in lectures and interviews.

Through his foundation in Serbia he promotes financial literacy and property rights, and he speaks regularly at Bitcoin conferences in Europe and the Middle East, among them BTC Prague and Bitcoin MENA. He read modern languages at University College London.
