Nathalie Schönwetter

Nathalie Schönwetter is a software developer, privacy advocate, entrepreneur, and author, as well as a self-described 3D-printing nerd. She runs the popular YouTube channel Make-o-Rama 3D Druck, where she tests and reviews 3D printers for an audience of over 16,000 subscribers. She is also the author of Bitcoin Einfach, a practical guide that helps readers understand and use Bitcoin with ease.

Make-o-Rama is both the channel and a business: she sells filament, parts and accessories for people building or upgrading their own printers, and has accepted cryptocurrency for years, with a discount for customers who pay that way.

Her book Bitcoin Einfach came out of the same instinct as the channel, which is that most explanations start too far in. It covers what Bitcoin is, how it works and how to buy and keep it, in German, for readers who are not technical and are not looking to trade.

The combination is more coherent than it first looks. Both halves of her work are about giving people the means to make something themselves rather than buying a finished product from a company that can withdraw it, which is close to the argument the Free Cities movement makes about jurisdictions.
