Marcell Heinrich

Marcell Heinrich is a talent expert and education pioneer. He develops innovative educational concepts for the Ministry of Education in Luxembourg as well as for Germany and Switzerland. As the founder of Hero Society, he and his team help young people discover their unique strengths and build meaningful life and career paths. Hero Society collaborates with schools, businesses, and families to foster potential and create sustainable opportunities. With his focus on autonomy and talent development within communities, Marcell Heinrich brings an inspiring perspective to the Free Cities movement.

Hero Society has been running since 2006 and now visits around a hundred and forty schools a year, reaching several thousand young people, with a method built on finding what a person is actually good at rather than sorting them by grades.

He has written books with education researchers including Gerald Hüther and gave the keynote at the German federal education ministry marking twenty years of careers guidance. His interest in Free Cities is the same interest in another form: a new community has to decide how it educates people before it can claim to be a place to raise a family.
