Zuby

Zuby (Nzube Udezue) is a British independent rapper, author, and podcaster known for his commentary on culture, discipline, and personal responsibility. A Dubai resident, he speaks on freedom, governance, and the trade-offs between political systems, arguing that most people value liberty less than they claim and that strong personal values matter more than any system.

He has released his music independently throughout, selling tens of thousands of albums without a label and performing in more than twenty countries. Born in Britain to Nigerian parents and raised in Saudi Arabia, he began rapping while reading computer science at Oxford.

He has written a fitness guide and a children’s book, and hosts Real Talk with Zuby, where the recurring themes are self-reliance, free speech, and the gap between what people say they want and what they will actually tolerate.

That is also his angle on Free Cities. Having lived under several very different systems, he is sympathetic to the argument for choosing your jurisdiction but sceptical that most people would use the choice, and he tends to say that the character of the people in a place decides more than the rules written for it.
