The Free Cities Foundation is excited to share some major news about our plans for 2026

As many of you know, the Free Cities Conference is the one time each year when our project representatives from around the world come together to share their progress.

Just recently, we welcomed more than 350 attendees from over 50 countries to Prague for what was a truly unforgettable program. For those who missed it, you can now watch the full playlist of talks on YouTube here.

From Prague to a Real Free City

While we love Prague — and fully intend to return there in the future — we’ve decided to take a bold step for 2026. After months of planning, we’re thrilled to finally announce that next year’s Free Cities Conference will take place inside a real Free City for the very first time: Próspera, on the tropical island of Roatán, Honduras.

Running from September 3–6, 2026, this four-day event will offer a rare opportunity to see a Free City in action. You’ll meet the people building it, explore its institutions, and see firsthand what life, investment, and entrepreneurship look like inside one of the world’s most ambitious governance experiments.

You can look forward to the same world-class lineup of speakers you’ve come to expect from Prague — but this time in a spectacular Caribbean setting.

For those who choose to extend their stay beyond the core conference days, you’ll have the chance to tee off at the Black Pearl championship golf course, dive Roatán’s world-famous reefs, kayak through turquoise bays, and experience a Free City surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery on earth.

Many of you will already have heard a great deal about Próspera. In 2026, you’ll have the chance to experience this unique special zone in person.

20% Discount Available Until 28 February 2026

Those who attended Prague this year were given early access to tickets, and sales have already been strong. Today, we’re opening tickets to our broader community — and with total capacity capped at just 300 attendees, we do expect the event to sell out.

To encourage early bookings (which helps us plan logistics and secure the best possible experience for everyone), we’re offering a 20% launch discount on all tickets until 28 February 2026.

Here are the discounted early-bird prices:

  • Economy Pass: $299$239 USD
  • Regular Pass: $399$319 USD
  • VIP Pass: $999 $799 USD

If you already know you want to join us in Próspera, this is the best time to secure your pass.

Accommodation: Why You’ll Want to Stay Inside Próspera

Roatán offers many excellent places to stay, but nothing compares to staying inside Próspera itself — especially at Las Verandas, the luxury resort hosting the conference, or Duna Tower, the tallest building on Roatán and the heart of Próspera’s commercial district.

While we expect around 300 attendees, Próspera can accommodate only around 150 people on site. Once that capacity is reached, remaining attendees will need to stay elsewhere on the island and commute in each day.

To make it easier to secure accommodation within Próspera, conference pass holders receive priority access to a limited number of exclusive on-site accommodation options, including Las Verandas and Duna Tower. These options are not available to the general public and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

On-site accommodation is expected to fill quickly. If staying inside Próspera is important to you, we strongly recommend securing your conference pass early to maximise your chances of accessing these accommodation options.

Be Part of a Milestone for the Free Cities Movement

For years, we’ve talked about Free Cities as an idea.

In Prague, we showcased Free Cities becoming reality.

In 2026, we’ll take the next step by hosting the conference inside a functioning Free City — giving you the chance to experience it directly.

If you want to learn, connect, and witness a Free City firsthand, we would love for you to join us for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We can’t wait to see you in the Caribbean.
