Rather than our usual news roundup, we are dedicating this edition to telling you about the 2026 Free Cities Conference.
September is approaching fast, and we want to make the case for why joining us in Próspera could be the most rewarding and memorable thing you do this year.
Here is why we think you should be there…

Las Verandas: Próspera’s luxury accommodation
For the First Time: Step Inside
For years, those of us who follow the Free Cities movement have talked, written, debated and dreamed. We have hosted our annual conference in European cities: Prague, Monaco, and Mülheim, Switzerland. We have watched from afar and followed legal battles, breakthroughs and setbacks from the comfortable distance of our home countries.
This September, all of that changes.
For the first time, the Free Cities Conference will take place inside a real, functioning Free City: Próspera, on the tropical island of Roatán, Honduras, from September 3–6, 2026.
The theme for this year’s event is Step Inside, and we mean it literally.

For those who want to go further still, we are also pleased to announce that we’re offering an optional day excursion to Ciudad Morazán, available on September 2 or 7.
Where Próspera is attracting international investors and frontier businesses, Ciudad Morazán tells a very different but equally important story: a Free City designed to deliver safety, security and opportunity for ordinary blue-collar Honduran workers in an otherwise troubled part of the country.
Tickets for the Morazán excursion cost $250 (plus flights) and are available from our online store here.

Experience It, Don’t Just Study It
There is a profound difference between hearing about a Free City and living inside one.
Attendees of our conference will have the opportunity to stay within Próspera’s jurisdiction at Las Verandas, the award-winning luxury resort at Pristine Bay, or at Duna Tower in the commercial heart of Próspera’s Beta District.
Waking up in a jurisdiction with its own legal system, tax code, and Bitcoin being used daily in local businesses is something no presentation can replicate.
Due to capacity constraints, only around half of attendees will be able to stay on site. If you would like the full conference experience, we recommend booking soon. Secure your accommodation here.

Conversations You Won’t Find Online
A limited number of our main stage sessions will be shared publicly after the conference, but most won’t be.
Certain discussions, on topics that our community needs to work through honestly and candidly, will be closed-door and available only to those physically present in Próspera. This is your chance to be inside those rooms and hear things that won’t make it into the public programme.
Attendees will also be among the first to hear announcements about new Free City projects in regions where nothing of this kind has been announced before.
For the deepest level of access, VIP dinner tickets place you directly at tables with speakers and investors, giving you the rare opportunity to engage with them openly and at length. Tickets available here.

Our 2026 conference will feature closed-door breakout sessions with smaller groups.
The Global Leaders, In One Place
There will not be another event in 2026 where so many of the world’s leading figures in the Free Cities movement come together under one roof.
Confirmed speakers include Titus Gebel, Tipolis CEO and inventor of the Free Private City concept; Erick Brimen, founder and CEO of Próspera; Niklas Anzinger of Infinita VC, the first venture capital fund based inside Próspera; and Oliver Porter, architect of Sandy Springs, Georgia, the first American city to outsource its municipal services to the private sector.
Alongside them will be leading investors, frontier businesses in biotech and drone technology, and foremost academics in special economic zones.

A Pivotal Moment to Visit
For four years, Próspera operated under a government openly hostile to its existence. President Xiomara Castro’s LIBRE party came to power in 2021 on a platform of dismantling the ZEDE framework. What followed were years of legal battles and deep uncertainty.
In November 2025, Hondurans returned to the polls. LIBRE came a distant third. Nasry “Tito” Asfura, a pro-investment conservative businessman, won the presidency and was sworn in on January 27, 2026. The mood in Próspera today is one of genuine optimism. Coming to the conference this September means experiencing this turning point firsthand.

Roatán: A Setting to Match the Occasion
Roatán sits alongside the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second-largest coral reef system in the world. Alongside the core conference programme there will be opportunities to enjoy world-class diving, the Black Pearl championship golf course, kayaking, private beaches, and outstanding food and company every evening. Find out more on our schedule page here.

We Hope to See You There
The Free Cities Conference has always been about the people who show up: the builders, the thinkers, the investors, the curious, and the conversations that happen between sessions, over dinner, and late into the evening.
This year, for the first time, those conversations will happen inside one of the places we have all been working to build.
Interest in Próspera has never been greater. The Yes Theory documentary released in 2025 surpassed three million views. Earlier this month, a German-language documentary on Próspera has already attracted over 400,000 views, making it likely the most watched German-language film on the project to date.
People around the world are paying attention. This September is your chance to be there in person, at the moment when things are moving.
Tickets start from $239, but prices will rise on April 30. We hope to see you in Roatán this September.
