Introducing the Course on Alternative Governance

by | Oct 23, 2023 | News, Featured

In partnership with Looking Glass Education, the Free Cities Foundation has developed an introductory course on the topic of Free Cities and innovation in governance.

Titled “The Course on Alternative Governance”, the course takes you on a journey through existing Free Cities projects. In doing so, it answers commonly asked questions about Free Cities models and their functioning in the real world. As the mission and focus of the Foundation is on practice rather than theory, the answers provided in this course show not how things couldĀ be done but how things are already being done in projects around the world.

The course is designed for people with no prior knowledge of the Free Cities universe. However, it will undoubtedly provide new insights and information even to most of those who have been following this movement for a long time.

On the mission to make Free Cities a widely known, respected, and recognized concept, it is key to make it as easy as possible for those involved in this movement to introduce others to the ideas of Free Cities. Thanks to this course, you no longer need to explain and answer all the follow-up questions yourself – the course will do it for you.

Together with our partners at Looking Glass, we will continue to improve the course and add new features, formats, and languages over the next months. Stay tuned for more to come!

Thanks to the generous support of our donors (with special gratitude toward our Free Cities Ambassador William Markus), we are able to offer this course free of charge. We encourage you to send it to anyone and everyone you suspect would be interested in joining our movement of building a better and freer future through city-centered innovation in governance.
